What is the function of the crankshaft?
The crankshaft is one of the core parts of the engine, and its output is all the power of the diesel engine. In the work stroke, the force from the piston connecting rod group is transformed into the torque to be transferred to the chassis. In other trips, the piston connecting rod group is driven to complete the work of intake, compression and exhaust stroke. In addition, it also has the function of drive distribution mechanism and other devices.
The crankshaft flywheel is mainly composed of crankshaft, main bearing and flywheel. The function of the crankshaft is to turn the force from the connecting rod into torque, and then output power through the flywheel, and drive the diesel engine's various agencies and systems through the gear or pulley. The crankshaft is composed of the main shaft journal, connecting rod journal, crankshaft, crankshaft front end and crankshaft.
The main shaft neck is supported by the main bearing. The connecting rod journal revolves around the centerline of the main shaft. The crank connects the spindle neck and the connecting rod journal. A connecting rod journal and a crank at both ends make a crank. A balance block is added in the opposite direction of the crank to offset the centrifugal force of the crankshaft rotation to reduce the vibration of the diesel engine.
There is an oblique oil channel between the main shaft neck and the connecting rod journal. Some diesel engine crankshaft connecting rod shaft neck on centrifugal oil cleaning cavity, when the crankshaft rotates, the oil into the oil chamber of the impurities and gel is flung to the oil cavity wall, the purification of oil into the connecting rod journal and the bearing bush. The hole of the net oil cavity is sealed with a screw plug. After a period of time, screw the screw and clean the oil chamber.
